A-Light Introduces Stitch Sustainable Luminaire
Oceanside, CA, October 19, 2022 – A-Light (www.alights.com), an established best-in-class manufacturer of specification-grade interior lighting solutions, is pleased to announce the introduction of its Stitch linear pendant. A unique lighting distribution creates a more comfortable and vibrant environment.
Stitch is a four-foot linear fixture shaped by a translucent material with an organic feel. The distressed texture of the non-woven fabric enhances a soft glow, which gives the luminaire a distinctive and natural appearance. Stitch is well-suited to office environments, as it was designed to create comfortable spaces and enhance person-to-person collaboration.
Lightweight material gently diffuses light across a large surface, providing even, comfortable, high-performance distribution with more than 4,300 delivered lumens. And this unique lighting distribution better renders facial features, smoothening skin, decreasing contrast in the eyes, and reducing shadows and dark spots for an overall softer appearance.
Dust and dirt are easily wiped away, making the lightweight fabric material easy to maintain and clean.
Stitch was developed with a focus on sustainability. Each luminaire component was challenged for its necessity, and recyclable materials were utilized wherever possible. Its non-woven fabric works as a diffuser, requiring fewer materials; eliminating the need for traditional polymer lenses means less plastic waste is destined for landfills and oceans.
Stitch is Declare label listed, which enhances transparency and simplifies material tracking. The Declare label identifies Stitch’s components, including red list-free, non-harmful chemicals such as the electrical wiring.
Shipping with collapsible components, Stitch is 60% lighter than a typical 4-foot linear fixture. The overall shipping impact is estimated to be reduced by as much as 66%.
The luminaires may be fully integrated with any nLight® AIR or nLight® Wired network control system using a variety of nLight® controls and sensors.
Stitch luminaires are assembled in America and comply with the Buy America(n) Act (BAA) government procurement requirements under FAR, DFARS, and DOT.
