Progressive Medical called upon Design Collective and Gary Steffy Lighting Design to assist with their 105,000 sqft facility expansion which included building a main center "activity atrium" that links two separate office structures together with various casual and comfortable open meeting and training spaces, as well as a company cafe. Above are 9 rows of 16ft suspended A1 | arcature1 providing direct/indirect, glare-minimizing light onto the chairs and tables, as well as up into the open ceiling. Adjacent to the atrium are the main office windows through which additonal A1's are mirrored, leveled at the same mounting height.
On the other end of the atrium, the open ceiling plan continues with multiple beams across an arched corrugated ceiing. B4 /arris4 rows are custom mounted to the brown strutural beams and painted the same color, so as to create the illusion that they are a part of the architectural component. Rows of symmetric light distribution can be seen emitting upwards onto the corrugated ceiling perpendicularly, visually increasing the ceiling height, and drawing the eye towards the colorful wall sculpture.
